Engineering physical
intelligence for Europe.

GappAI is a Berlin-based Physical AI infrastructure company. We turn human expertise into robot capability, manage that capability across fleets and build toward complete robotic operations delivered as a service.
01 / Our purpose

The next major frontier of AI is physical.

Software has learned to understand language, images and complex information. The physical world is harder: it is continuous, uncertain and shaped by contact, materials, people and changing conditions. Most valuable human work still depends on skills that machines cannot reliably generalize.

GappAI exists to close that gap. We combine robot learning, perception, control, sensing, fleet operations and real-world engineering to create systems that learn how work is performed—and can deliver that capability through customer-owned, investor-owned or GappAI-managed robots.

Mission

Transfer human expertise into reliable robotic capability.

We capture skilled work, translate perception and action into reusable machine skills, and operate those skills across robotic platforms. Every deployment should make the system safer, more capable and more valuable.

Vision

Make physical intelligence part of Europe's essential infrastructure.

We envision Physical AI as essential infrastructure: organisations contract for reliable robotic capacity while GappAI coordinates intelligence, platforms, fleets and continuous improvement under European expectations for safety, trust and responsibility.

02 / Why now

A large market.
An early technology.

Robotics adoption is accelerating, yet general-purpose Physical AI remains at the beginning. Today's systems are strongest in structured environments. The larger opportunity lies in the variable, fragmented and skill-intensive work that still depends on people.

These signals inform our direction: Europe has world-class industrial depth, research institutions and public infrastructure. It also has a strategic opportunity to convert that strength into deployable Physical AI.

03 / Berlin to Europe

Built in Berlin

European engineering.
Real-world ambition.

Berlin places GappAI at the intersection of engineering, scientific research, industrial transformation and public policy. From here, we intend to build partnerships across Germany and Europe with research institutions, manufacturers, infrastructure operators, municipalities and technology partners.

Our objective is not to reproduce a single machine. It is to own the intelligence, deployment and operating layer that allows different machines to learn useful work—and enables customers to use robotic capacity without becoming robotics companies themselves.

04 / Engineering culture

Research discipline.
Operational proof.

We approach Physical AI as both a scientific and an engineering problem. Progress must be measurable in the lab, credible in simulation and dependable in the field.

01

Reality before spectacle

We optimize for useful work, repeatability and field performance—not isolated demonstrations.

02

Evidence over claims

Capabilities are evaluated against clear tasks, operating conditions and failure modes.

03

Safety by design

Hardware, software, human oversight and deployment procedures are treated as one system.

04

Platform thinking

Skills should transfer across robots, tools, environments and sectors wherever the physics allows.

05 / Working with GappAI

For industry, institutions and research

Build the capability together.

We work with organizations that operate significant physical workflows and want to shape the next generation of automation. Engagement can begin with workflow mapping and a paid pilot, progress to GappAI-managed intelligence on an existing fleet, and ultimately become a complete managed robotic operation.
